So, I’m almost done with the novel. The interior pages are all done, proof reading formatting and all. The only thing I’m missing is an author photograph that I may or may not include. So, I was all excited about this and updated the tagline on my IM with donedonedonedonedone! then realized…no, I’m not.
The interior pages are not the final step, as I’m my own editor and publisher as well. I knew the front cover wasn’t going to be ready until the weekend, as I’m going out to see Starwind on Saturday for her to take the photo for it. (She might be taking an author photo at the same time, and then we’ll see if I can manage a good enough shot for the book…) Anyway, that still left the back cover and spine for me to do. So, I popped into my graphics program and started on the design I had in mind, when it occurred to me–I still have to write a back-cover blurb for this thing!
I HATE writing blurbs.
But, I managed, and so this thing really is almost ready. Looks like it’ll definitely be ready in time for MarCon, and quite possibly even a bit sooner. Yay!!
