Novel
Act Three Scene Four
When a series of events finds actor Kyle Douglas cast in the lead of a low-budget horror movie, his friends and co-workers doubt his ability to meet the challenge. Oblivious to his own shortcomings, Kyle’s cold, robotic performances and set-destroying clumsiness threaten to ruin the film.
Determined to save her first ever film project, director Kate Regan assigns her assistant to coach and mentor Kyle. Determined to save their friendship, Kyle’s best friend Madison helps him rehearse and visits him on the set despite his lack of sympathy over her recent, devastating breakup.
Everyone is amazed when Kyle’s acting begins to inexplicably improve, but no one thinks to question why. Though no longer threatening to destroy the film with his bad acting, Kyle’s obsession with perfecting the movie’s most pivotal scene, act three scene four, may wind up destroying many lives instead.
